    Default Disappearing Quotes

I've had a couple of quotes disappear. I checked the default setting and it shows 270 days, but the 2 quotes that disappeared yesterday were there less than 4 months. Any ideas as to why that happens?

Three scenarios that could cause this to occur:

    1) If an ***ociate canceled the quote, prior to verison 3.5.5 the quote would disappear. After 3.5.5 the quote is changed to a status of "canceled"

    2) If the ***ociate who entered the quote never finished and saved the quote by pushing the done button. We have found people enter quotes, walk away from the computer because they get distracted with other tasks. Because the Done button is what saves the order/quote, if this is never pressed, then BizWizard ***umes the order/quote is in limbo and it will clean up those considering them to be "incomplete"

    3) a Third scenario that cause cause them to disappear is if your computers clock got changed. The 270 day time frame uses your computers clock to determine if 270 days have p***ed.

Only if the time was off by 270 days. The time changes is only 1 hour, but if your computer tried to update from time servers and failed, windows will set the default time on the computer to some odd time that can be several years off. So yes, it could do it, if for some reason windows updated the clock incorrectly.

    Default Disappearing orders and quotes

I can't figure out what's happening then since we've (my manager and I) got both work orders and quotes disappearing for no apparent reason on occasion. I've asked my manager what the circumstances are when she experiences it and they don't line up with the "expected instances" that you're described. We've both had quotes go missing in the past 24 hours...so maybe it's a system thing...but I'm not aware of us having any other problems with any other programs-

Other programs aren't date and time sensitive. BizWizard bases everything on date and time for transaction reporting. I recommend watching it, Add an Order, or quote, and after clicking Done, check to ensure it still exists. If you find its missing, call us immediately via telephone.
