Product Attributes

Can we come up with a list of all the product attributes that will automatically be ***igned to a new product and then allow us to "uncheck" the ones that don't apply to the product? The reason I ask is that If I enter individual medal stock numbers, on each medal I'll ask the same information fields: logo to be engraved, type of ribbon to be used, color of ribbon, etc and that's alot of typing. If we just had a toggle, that sure would make life easier-

Lets say I have a gl*** piece that I'm selling. Most of the time, I have to ask the same questions no matter the exact product. Here is the way I may list attributes for a product

LOGO
ETCHING/LASERING
FRONT/BACK SIDE ETCHING
COLORFILL
PLATE DETAILS (IF NEEDED)
MISC

on a trophy, I'd have

LOGO
TOP FIGURE
TRIM FIGURE
PLATE COLOR
LASER/ENGRAVE/SUBLIMATE
COLUMN COLOR
MISC

So, the point is, every time I add a product, I've got to type these same questions on every item. If there was a way to have set questions on an item that is a Trophy, a different set of questions for Gl*** pieces, Sculptures, Signs, Plates, etc. It would be a huge time saver in the long run. It would also make sure that I ask the customers the questions I need answered on every item.

Have you tried the copy product feature? If you copy the product, it will create a new product using the settings of the old product. We put the copy product feature in for the purpose of saving time for exactly what your trying to accomplish. See if that will work for you.
