If you are experiencing network connections dropping while running order manager, this is most likely caused by Windows power management for your network adapter. By Default, Windows has power management turned on. What this means is that Windows will turn off your network adapter to conserve on power when it thinks you are not actively using the network.

This creates a problem for BizWizard Order Manager. BizWizard Order Manager requires a persistent network connection to the network resource that hosts the shared multi-user database. When Windows turns off the network adapter power, the persistent connection is interrupted. This results in a dropped connection to the database and Order Manager will not be able to function until the network connection is restored.

To prevent this from happening, it is important that you turn off power management for your network adapter on each computer that is running Order Manager. The following video will walk you through how to do this on Windows 10. The process is similar on Windows 7 and 8.x.
