It seems as there was an issue for those that had manually inputed products from a vendor that was not in shopkart when they signed up cause I had the same issue. For RR members timecraft was in our roundtable catalog and in our shopkart sites, but it was not the full timecraft stuff from netsoft studio originally. David is working on the fix currently

"It seems as there was an issue..." So, has it stopped locking up at 45% completed? I tried last night for a couple of hours to download Crystal-D and it never moved off 45%

    Thanks,
    Dave

Spoke with David M a short time ago. In the process of pushing out an update that will correct the freezing at 45%. Might be working now but he suggested that we might want to wait for 4 to 5 hours before trying again.

I'm glad I didn't have time to work on this last night, as I have been moving a blog, websites, databases, e-mail clients to a new server for two days. While I am close to being through that storm, this issue may have put me over the edge. ;-) Thanks for being my guinea pig. :-)

Have any of you been successful in uploading the new products since the fix?

The little nuances of getting stuck at 45% should be resolved. If you have problems, you should contact our tech support so we can resolve them quickly. Tech support is more geared up to troubleshoot and get quick resolutions which also allows us to identify more specifically if there is a unique problem that your shopkart dataset is posing that the import/update is not handling. The catalog import and update is a very extremely complex piece of code that has alot of artificial intelligence and data decision making algorithms in it and as much as it was beta tested, there can be little wrenches that your sites specific data throws into the cogs. The 45% was one such nuance that occurred due to people adding product catalogs manually and the way you entered those products vs. the way those products are presented in the master catalog.

For instance, having a product in your catalog that has 3 product details with 3 products in a single photo and then you added 3 product detail lines, one for each product. There is nothing wrong with this as shopkart is designed to allow this, however the supplier did not combine all 3 products in a single photo rather they have it in 3 separate photos as 3 separate products. Without going into too much technical details, the syncing of your catalog where they are combined to the suppliers catalog where they were split was causing an error and is why you were stuck at 45% as Shopkart wasn't (at the time, but now is) taking that scenario (the wrench in the cog) into consideration.

So this has been corrected, you should be able to update your catalogs. If you continue to have issues, please contact our support team so we can resolve this ASAP.
