How do we get products from new suppliers

So there have been several suppliers added to Shopkart since I joined, and I don't have their items in my kart. I have added Timecraft myself, for example, not knowing that Timecraft joined skopkart as a supplier. I would prefer to use your optimized images, as well as updated images. I would also like to add other suppliers that have joined. We discussed this in Vegas, and Niels was showing me some nifty tools where I could choose to add or replace products with your images. But I have not received any emails about this or option to add these suppliers. I would like to know how we are being notified of new suppliers joining the group -- because I haven't been -- and how do I get caught up. We spend many hours dedicated to updating our kart weekly so bulk loading would certainly save us some time.

I got a preview of the updating of suppliers and new catalogs last week. The new shopkart update should be pushed out this week and NetSoft usually notifies you via email when a new update to shopkart comes out, also their is supposed to be a new feature to let you know when you log into shopkart that their was an update to the website either a software update or supplier update, not sure if that will be in this next release. The big thing is being able to update and also add suppliers and their products to your website easily.

Updating your websites with new vendors and updating your existing vendors is going to be very easy. Of course whenever you update or add new, you will still have to do some work to make sure it fits your site, and any categories you may have created. BUT it is far faster than adding all the products yourself or updating existing product yourself.

Here is an overview of what I saw and what I believe will be coming out.

You will be able to sync your products information with a master catalog of products that are on shopkart, that sync will do the following (if you choose it to, you can select or de-select any of the below)

• Update product information - Weight, price, description
• Add new product
• Delete discontinued product
• Categorize product (into master categories)
• Add/Update Images
• Add/Update Templates
• Add/update 360 views

At the end of updating a supplier you will need to do the following for the products you have imported

• Run your Bulk Product Update on pricing
• Activate those new products

That is what I remember of what I saw, I am sure their are few other things I forgot, but this next update is going to solve that issue of adding new suppliers as they are being added to Shopkart.

I know that when I was helping at the NetSoft booth this year, there was far more activity from suppliers wanting to get their products into Shopkart, and also Suppliers are starting to realize that they are in Shopkart and that they need to keep their products up to date.

IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER, that is why I went with ShopKart, knowing that NetSoft has the ability to keep adding and updating their programs to meet customer demands in this industry.

In addition, you may also have figured this out as well, NetSoft Studio is growing quite fast and is getting quite busy. David has hired some Tech Support people to handle questions you may have and help you with any issues. Start to use them, David cannot do it all anymore! Many of you have talked with Trampas and others and found that they are very helpful. You can post questions on here or call tech support, and get answers, but David is constantly busy with writing new features into ShopKart and also training new staff to help support us all. Lets help him out and use his support staff to answer our questions so we can continue to get more features into shopkart and BizWiz as well as more product!

I agree with Niels on this, ShopKart just continues to get better and better, this latest update should really put it over the top! I can't wait to implement all the new features, Thanks David

Thanks Niels! Yes, I agree, ShopKart is the best product out there. What do you mean David can't do it all? rubbish!
Anyway, from the few things you showed me in Vegas, I am excited about these features and am just chomping at the bit to get them online. I'm just being pre-emptive because in the past I missed any emails or updates when new suppliers came on board. I was surprised at the show to hear Timecraft was on board -- I had added them myself, but I would much prefer to use David's optimized images. So my post was just a status check, to make sure I don't miss any new add-ons.

Thanks to you and the Netsoft team, I am a HUGE fan!

I believe NetSoft has pushed out the ability to update suppliers now. To do so do the following:

• Log in to your admin
• click on Suppliers icon and select the supplier you would like to update and import new product. (click on the blueish - Greenish Icon)
• Select the same supplier from the dropdown list at the top.
• CAREFULLY select what you would like to do with syncing your data with a master catalog from NetSoft (if you don't understand what an option means don't select it, ask NetSoft what it means and will do)
• Run your supplier update
• Review the update and update your retail prices

Note: to import a supplier that is on the master catalog, but not in your catalog yet, you will need to first create the supplier in your supplier list, then sync the data with the NetSoft Master catalog

Just went on there to check things out, one thing that would really help would be a last updated column this way we could verify if we are up to date with the suppliers posted updates

Good idea, would the column be last updated info for when you updated your site, or last updated info from the vendor

For me, I would be more interested in when the vendor last updated the info, but having both dates would be better.

OK, so I tried this twice. Yesterday I tried to update Timecraft. It got stuck at 45% and 6 hours later I had to shut it down. Exact same thing today.
