Problem emailing from exchange-based server

I am trying to email reports but I keep getting error messages. It must have to do with SMTP vs Exchange. How do I communicate this to my Exchange provider so he can give me the proper ansers to setup the email out?

This is best handle via support phone call so we can troubleshoot your SMTP Settings along with your Internet provider since everyone internet provider has different requirements on accessing their SMTP Server.

Problem is solved. My exchange provider gave me the SMTP settings I needed, plugged them in, and got a response when I sent a document that the document was sent. Yay!
