External URL Linking

I like the use of External Linking allowing you to link to other pages on the internet. However, I would like a choice to either open in a new window (page) or simply goto the page from the existing page. Reason is, if I want to link to a part of my own website, It would be nice have it go directly to a sub catagory without opening a new window.
