Version 1.0.8 of ShopKart has been released with the following new enhancements:
1) Added an Option to Provide open in new window or current window for External Links from categories. This New Feature allows opening of link in current window or new window based upon your choice when clicking on a category name or category icon picture. This enhancement only applies to the External Link for a Category name.
2) Enhanced the Navigation of pages within categories to display only 10 pages worth of products at a time vs. the old system of showing all pages.
3) Enhanced Shopkart with Company Addresses at the bottom of each page as an easy reference for the site visitor to find contact information without clicking
4) Added Top Category to the category selection for a product. Now you can place product directly on the homepage if you like.
5) Corrected a few performance issues in certain page load times to improve page loading.
6) Added Social Media Icons to allow your customers to follow your tweets, friend you on facebook, become part of your network on linked in, blog with you on blogger or wordpress, etc. Utilizing these new social media tools can have a dramatic impact on your search engine placement for rankings.
All current shopkart sites are automatically updated with these changes. There is nothing you need to do to update your site.
